It was on display for 5 weeks in July 2003 at Rockefeller Center Plaza in NYC. The show featured a Mercury Rocket an F-16 and a Harrier Jet as it's main attractions.
Two large tents were erected on the North and South Plaza to house an historical aircraft exhibit and to display exhibits by Boeing, NASA, the FAA, and the Air Force.
Inside the center we had a model airplane exhibit and a solar sail. The install took a full week and the opening night gala featured Patti Labelle. Neil Armstrong cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony. Most of the outdoor features were lit from rooftops with HMI fixtures. The tents were lit in a variety of ways including Varilites and conventional fixtures.
The South Tent had to be "TV Ready" so Katie Couric could host the Today Show from the tent when the producers desired.
