The Wheel of Life
Produced By the MIT Media Lab Interactive Cinema Group
Concieved By Gloriana Davenportthis was an interactive museum installation. I had to create a convincing environment for guides and explorers to work in. My design echoed nature and took it one step further into the surreal.
The students designed 3 environments; Earth, Air, and Water. The cues were controlled by Macintosh (Mac IIfx) computers driven by infrared sensors and communicating to a lighting console.
All cues were midi controlled and random access.
As explorers traveled through the environments they triggered cues that made a desert into a flowering jungle.
