Picasso @ The Lapin Agile
Picasso @ The Lapin Agile was produced at The Forum Theater. This is a wonderful script by Steve Martin that supposes a meeting between Einstein and Picasso at a bar in Paris. Their interaction leads to some very thought provoking discussion and the play really speaks to the audience. Elvis appears later in the show and he greatly enhances the conversation. This is a fun show to design beacuse it is so surreal. But at the same time you need to ground the scenes in a believable reality. The works of Picasso and some velvet Elvis paintings influenced my design.
